Judgment Day: Intelligent Design on Trial
Saturday, February 11
2pm

Americans United for Separation of Church & State "Judgment Day: Intelligent Design on Trial" at the Green Hills Library in connection with Darwin Day (February 12). This event is free and open to the public. Light Refreshments will be served.
"Judgment Day: Intelligent Design on Trial" is a riveting look at the latest battleground over the teaching of evolution in public schools. In 2004, the Dover, Pennsylvania school board ordered science teachers to read a statement to high school biology students suggesting that there is an alternative to Darwin's theory of evolution called intelligent design—the idea that life is too complex to have evolved naturally and therefore must have been designed by an intelligent agent. The teachers refused, and parents filed suit, accusing the school board of violating the constitutional separation of church and state.
